Silent Red Rising

Born in 1643, Silent Red Rising came to Piracy in midlife. While her exact origins have been lost to history the legends around her are well known. Silent Red Rising abandoned her life on land after being condemned as a witch. She made her way through a series of pirate crews. Her clever mind made her a particularly good pirate and an asset to any crew she joined. This being a well documented fact researchers began to look into why she spanned so many different pirate crews.

This is where legend and fact get muddled. Legend says that Silent Red Rising would curse the ship of any crew who betrayed her. If the captain slighted her or the crew to mistreat her, she would leave and that ship for another. The ship she left would immediately become… very unlucky.

After going threw a few pirate crews like this, Red Silent Rising joined the crew of the infamous Brown Beard where it seems she lived out the remainder of her days.

After her death, a mysterious book was found hidden among her possessions. The words on the cover are faded and some think may be her spell book. The book is locked so no has been able to confirm its contents. From the outside it is clear a page has been ripped out but no one has found a trace of that missing page.

One researcher became fixated on gettin the book open. They took up sleeping below their desk to not loose time working on the mystery. One day the research abandon their work leaving behind notes saying they were going to become pirate and some STRANGE NOTES.
